Australian Taxation Office visits our Year 10 students..

Ms. Susej de Laxamana Community Liaison Officer| Community and Education Assistance & Individuals Education and Assistance Program of the Australian Taxation Office, visited MFC this term.

The Year 10 students were informed on a range of topics including:

• the Australian tax and superannuation systems
• the benefits to the community
• the role Australians play in supporting these systems
• how to complete and lodge tax file number applications & tax returns

Year 10’s watching the ATO presentation in the school auditorium.

Students were engaged and intrigued by some of the points Susej touched upon and posed questions ranging from the cash-in-hand jobs, to the tax office rules regarding overseas countries like IRAQ and SOMALIA.
